Donor Privacy and Confidentiality
The United Way of the Adirondack Region respects the privacy of our donors. Under no circumstances will names, contact information, or any other data related to our donors be sold, lent, or traded to any organization for any reason.
Personal information entrusted to the United Way will not be communicated outside the organization, including agencies to which the donor makes a designated gift, unless specifically authorized by the donor.
Donor information, including but not limited to contact information, employer, and giving history, is collected and maintained for internal purposes only. United Way retains such personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes of this policy and to comply with federal and state record retention requirements.
If a donor wishes to be anonymous, we have added a statement on our pledge form that states, if they wish to remain anonymous to please contact our office. With both our address and phone number listed on our pledge form. Donors wishing to review their personal information collected and to request corrections can contact our organization by telephone, email or letter. Staff will change information as requested by donors.

Data Security Risk Assessment Program
Our Internet Provider provides security on our account with them. Also the ITT company provides server security and a cloud backup of our files. We also have an annual security scan done. All computers have a virus and spyware on them, which is updated automatically.
